Each month I am adding to an on-going series of writings about Fine Artists working in NYC.
This month I write a Linked Poem, similar to the Linked Essay from last month. This time it is for Carmen Hay Kolodzey, a Fine Artist currently working in NYC.
Like the infinite fabric of Carmen Hay Kolodzey
Like every construction and unlike any deconstruction ever
Unlike Chihuly, like a true craftswoman, unlike the corporation
Unlike a purist, unlike a factory, like a Society's fabric
Like the 21st Century, unlike an extremist's hyperbole
Like a craft, a work of Fine Art
Like a studio in East Chelsea
Like paint on fabric, like fabric on paint
Like a gauge or satchel of the Avant-Garde
Like the unseen qualities of life
Like the quilt of life
To find out more about Carmen Hay Kolodzey, please visit her site. Like always my suggestion is to see work in its proper real-time, non-documented, Fine Art context.
