In honor of my son, Javier's 5th birthday, I am giving away an unlimited amount of digital drawings. All who contact me electronically (e-mail, etc...) Thursday, July 20th through Monday July 25th, will either get a unique small digital drawing, or if you already have a small drawing you get to upgrade: I will send you a new unique large digital drawing. That's right, all who have received a small drawing will be given a new unique large drawing if you contact me on that day. If you have received drawings in the past feel free to ask for another (no limits). All I need from you is a physical mailing address to send the physical, paper officiating letter (letter of authenticity). As always, I will never sell, give, lend that information to any entity, person, etc...

Jeanne Knight Faske's Chickee Hut Dedication

A little over a year ago I made a post for my Aunt Jeanne who had passed away. The idea of making a structure in her dedication was proposed, last week the was an unveiling for this Chickee Hut. It was made by the Seminole Tribe and installed at HL Johnson elementary school. I love the Dr. Seuss quote that was included on the plaque inside the hut. Special thanks to Robert Faske for sharing documentation of the event.

Fine Artist of the Month: Digital Drawing for Jeanne Knight Faske (RIP)

Each month I am adding to an on-going series of writings and works about Fine Artists who live(d), work(ed), or are primarily working in the NY area. This month I posted a regular digital drawing for former NY area Fine Artist, and my aunt who died this past week, Jeanne Knight Faske (RIP) who was born in NY and lived in Florida.

I reject all rules, limits, regulations, standards and practices on my site & my digital drawings to present a full color, full resolution digital drawing for my aunt Jeanne. Feel free to download to view on your TV, computer monitor, tablet device, mobile device, etc... This is an unlimited edition, please contact me if you would like a free paper/physical officiating certificate sent to you by postal mail.
I wish I knew her and her art work better, so I could post something in better honor of her and her art work. Rest in peace aunt Jeanne.

Unlimited digital drawings extended due to Sandy

Due to power, internet and other outages this week from Hurricane Sandy I am extending the give-a-way. It seems like the proper thing to do, and quite frankly the only thing I could do contextually given the situation. So until Sunday, November 11th  2012 (what would be Roberto Matta's RIP 101st birthday) the give-a-way is on.

I have a long held interest in the difference and similarities between maps and landmarks, in both a very abstract sense and a literal sense. I also have an interest in the speed and dynamics of how the drawings are delivered and the speed in which they are delivered through the internet and through the postal mail service. I believe that the above listed interests are reflected in my digital drawings The key to the drawings is is that they are unique, and are expressing multiple aesthetic sensibilities.
