Fine Artist of the Month: Like the infinite fabric of Carmen Hay Kolodzey

Each month I am adding to an on-going series of writings about Fine Artists working in NYC.

This month I write a Linked Poem, similar to the Linked Essay from last month. This time it is for Carmen Hay Kolodzey, a Fine Artist currently working in NYC.

Like the infinite fabric of Carmen Hay Kolodzey

Like every construction and unlike any deconstruction ever
Unlike Chihuly, like a true craftswoman, unlike the corporation

Unlike a purist, unlike a factory, like a Society's fabric
Like the 21st Century, unlike an extremist's hyperbole

Like a craft, a work of Fine Art
Like a studio in East Chelsea

Like paint on fabric, like fabric on paint
Like a gauge or satchel of the Avant-Garde

Like the unseen qualities of life
Like the quilt of life

To find out more about Carmen Hay Kolodzey, please visit her site. Like always my suggestion is to see  work in its proper real-time, non-documented, Fine Art context.

Rumble Above the Clouds exhibition - September-October 2011 - Part 1

I was invited to take part in Rumble Above The Clouds group show which includes many NYC Fine Artists. I plan to show a new laser/light work. The show is located inside the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, 60th and Columbus, NYC. No, this is not the church which the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man crushes, but it is relatively close by.

Below are some documented images of the area I was given, as well as some related experiments/research done in the studio.

Free digital drawing to the first 9 people who contact me.

That's right, I am giving away another batch of small, unique, digital drawings.

Do you have questions about the drawings? Why would I give away a work of Fine Art that I truly believe in? Read here.

For those who already have a small drawing, you are entitled to upgrade your participation in the project: Now you will receive a large digital drawing.

So how do you get in on all this action? Just email me here, and please include your name and postal address. As stated in an earlier post: I will NEVER sell or give out any information sent to me.
