about Fine Artists who work(ed), or are primarily working in the NYC
area. This month I produced a text work: Linked Pangrams in many languages for NYC Fine Artist, Sol Lewitt

“Do not strive to be a modern artist: it's the one thing unfortunately you can't help being.” -Salvador Dali
“The history of modern art is also the history of the progressive loss of art's audience. Art has increasingly become the concern of the artist and the bafflement of the public.” -Paul Gauguin
“Even in modern art, artists have used methods based on calculation, inasmuch as these elements, alongside those of a more personal and emotional nature, give balance and harmony to any work of art.” -Max Bill
“The role of a museum of modern art is to make a good selection and identify what we believe to be the coming movements, and that requires taste.” -David Rockefeller
“The modern artist, it seems to me, is working and expressing an inner world in other words – expressing the energy, the motion and other inner forces.” -Jackson Pollock
“This grandiose tragedy that we call modern art.” -Salvador Dali “Most painting in the European tradition was painting the mask. Modern art rejected all that. Our subject matter was the person behind the mask.” -Robert Motherwell
“The strangeness will wear off and I think we will discover the deeper meanings in modern art.” -Jackson Pollock

Changes to site
As stated earlier, I wrote that changes were coming. Some of the changes have already appeared. To clarify some questions that I have received regarding the first set of changes: the background color of the site will be changing once a week, some technical aspects of this have yet to be achieved, but the basic design is in place. Please note like other all other aspects of the site I do not consider this part of my art or art work in and of itself, it is design. See below.

Your presence/present: FREE unique, small and large digital drawing give-a-way
Next Friday, January 18th is my birthday. Like last year (and I
believe years to come) I wish to give, and not receive anything on my
day of birth. All who contact me electronically (e-mail, etc...) from now until that day, will either get a unique small digital drawing,
or if you already have a small drawing you get to upgrade: I will send
you a new unique large digital drawing. That's right, all who have
received a small drawing will be given a new unique large drawing if
you contact me on that day. If you have received drawings in the past
feel free to ask for another (no limits). All I need from you is a
physical mailing address to send the physical, paper officiating letter
(letter of authenticity). As always, I will never sell, give, lend that information to any entity, person, etc...
Same rules apply as before with these digital drawings.
Email me here by next Friday, January 18th 2012 and please include your name and postal address.
Again, your presence is the greatest present I could ever receive.
